OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Oct.10, (ST)- 18 years ago, the series of operations that were carried out by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip forced defeat on the Israeli occupation .On the 12th of September, the Israeli occupation ended the presence of its ground forces in the strip and evacuated 21 settlements that occupied 35 percent of the area of the Gaza Strip in a major achievement for the resistance. Israel has never evacuated Palestinian land it has seized since the Nakba in 1948.
The images of the occupation forces’ vehicles leaving successively from the territory of the Gaza Strip are still fresh in our minds, reflecting the scale of the defeat suffered by the occupation, which later admitted that its presence in the Gaza Strip was not a paradise as some Israelis portrayed, but rather an unbearable hell, as its forces and settlers were living under the fire of the Palestinian resistance.
The hell that the occupation was experiencing in the Gaza Strip is being repeated today in the settlements adjacent to the Strip and in all the settlements and sites that were hit by the resistance’s missiles during the launch of “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” , which constituted a shock and surprise to the Israeli enemy, as the Palestinian resistance surprised him in the air, land and sea, using advanced tactics and new weapons that destroyed its forces and settlers, with more than 1,000 resistance fighters, appeared like ghosts above their heads, killed and captured large numbers of them, seized military vehicles of the occupation and brought them into the Gaza Strip. While the settlers who the resistance did not reach had no choice but to hide in shelters or flee towards areas that the resistance missiles did not reach.
The unjust siege imposed by the occupation on the Gaza Strip in 2006 and tightened in mid-2007 did not undermine the capabilities of the resistance, which worked on developing and manufacturing weapons and missiles that became more powerful and effective.
The missiles were able to reach not only the settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip, but also to Tel Aviv, Beersheba and Haifa.
These weapons and missiles enabled the resistance to thwart eight wars on the Gaza Strip since 2008 and the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the 7th of this month, declaring an open war on the occupation in response to its continuing crimes against the Palestinian people and their sanctities, which have so far resulted in the death of 1,100 soldiers. and settlers, wounding more than 2,600.
During “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood”, the world was stunned by the capabilities of the resistance. It announced for the first time the “Saqr Squadron,” which used parachutes and carried out airdrops on enemy sites, in addition to new types of “Al-Zawari” drones and other types for reconnaissance and attack, which constituted a great surprise to the enemy. But the important aspect is the locally manufactured missiles, as the resistance has a large stock of short-, medium- and long-range missiles, some of which have a range of 200 km besides developing a locally manufactured “Metabar” air defense system that it used to confront the enemy’s aircraft.
The Palestinian resistance and its heroes destroyed the prestige of the occupation army, which possesses a huge arsenal of weapons, including nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction that are internationally banned. They also forced thousands of settlers to go to airports to return to where they came from, so that the resistance confirms that power is in the hands of the real owners of the land who sacrifice for the sake of their freedom and their dignity, and they give lessons to the world about courage, clinging to the land, and defending it.
