World Soprano Sumaya Hallaq at classic music evening at Dar Al-Assad in Damascus

The world  Soprano Singer Sumaya Hallaq flew between the worlds of East and West during the opera  evening hosted by the Drama Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

The soprano singer  Sumaya, who lives in Switzerland, is keen to hold opera concerts during her frequent visit to her motherland.  The classic evening held at Dar Al-Assad was  a message to  challenge  the current conditions  the world is experiencing due to the spread of the Corona pandemic.

She performed with her operatic voice  accompanied by the pianist Fadi  Jebili  a mixture of Western and eastern  compositions.  

 

It is noteworthy that  Sumaya Hallaq  studied music in Geneva, then at the Queen Elizabeth Academy in Brussels and at the Copenhagen City Opera  under the supervision  of great European composers. 

Hallaq  participated in many concerts and operas of senior composers and participated in a duet with the cellist Susan Fermien.
