World Health Organization: Gaza Strip’s residents died of hunger in the light of the continuous Israeli aggression

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that the residents of Gaza Strip are dying of hunger due to the restrictions imposed on humanitarian aid, as the Israeli aggression continues since the seventh of last October, noting the need to protect Gaza residents and their health facilities.

Director of the emergency operation at the World Health Organization Micheal Ryan explained during a press conference that the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip are living in a massive disaster and the situation is getting worse due to the lack of nutrition, overcrowding and exposure to cold due to the lack of shelter, which is suitable for the spread of epidemics on a large scale, especially among children.

From his part, Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, indicated that the organization is facing ongoing severe challenges in supporting the health system in Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli aggression

He said: “More than 100.000 of the Gaza Strip residents were either killed, wounded or missing and are presumed died. He noted that the risk of famine is high and is increasing every day as hostilities continue and humanitarian access is restricted”.
