Occupied Al-Quds – (ST)- The World Health Organization confirmed that the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 142nd day has caused “unprecedented destruction” to the infrastructure in the Strip, which will take decades to repair.
In a statement by the organization’s spokesman, Tariq Yasarevic, reported by Wafa Agency, “Between 70 and 80 percent of the civilian infrastructure, including homes, hospitals, schools, and water facilities, has been destroyed or has been severely damaged.”
Jasarevic added: Repairing the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip will take decades, including the healthcare system, which is taking its last breath. He also mentioned that removing the rubble in Gaza will take from 3 to 12 years.
He pointed out that the World Health Organization will continue to implement its operational plan to support hospitals in Gaza.
