Women’s National Basketball Team to Compete in Russia

MOSCOW,(ST)- The women’s national basketball  team have arrived in Moscow to take part in the World championship (3+3)which will last till June 10.

The Syrian side have been drawn in Group A along with Romania, Switzerland, Belgium, Uruguay and Italy.

According to the event’s format, the first four teams from each group will automatically qualify for the 16thround. In the 8th round, the knock-out stage system will be applied.

The team includes: Alyssa Makarian, Haya Maliki, Miriam Janji and Rasha Sakran.
