Women’s athletics team to compete in Thailand

DAMASCUS,(ST)-The women’s national athletics team are currently holding an –indoor training camp at the Tishreen Sporting Complex in Damascus.

The camp is part of the team’s preparation for taking part in Thailand Athletics Championship which is considers as a qualifier for the U-18 Olympic Games due to be staged in China in August.

Alaa Leila will compete in the following disciplines 200 m,400 m run .Fatima Raya will compete in the 2000 m steeplechase discipline .Aya Abbas(5 km),Mais Barhoum(javelin) and Israa halahil (discus).
