Women Leaders workshop in Lattakia

The needed managerial skills for success of managerial duties and the reputation management and branding is key for economic success are among the most important axes of the workshop held in Lattakia  by the National Company for Management and Human Resource Development on the 17th of Mar 2018.

To highlight the importance of the workshop, Dr. Hassan Al-Nouri said to The Syria times e-newspaper:”We have been involved in women leaders programs in different areas in the region and I decided to move this experience to Syria. So we decided to go on and start this program series in Damascus which is sponsored by different international organizations that work on our behalf.

We called it Women Leaders which is an international program. This program will be divided into two workshops.

The first workshop will talk about the management competency skills that should be provided by any woman leader and we are emphasizing this program to cover seven titles. The first title is how to be a good leader. The second title will discuss the management skills, the minimum skills, needed for any good management. Then we will talk about the strategic management and how women leaders should be developing their visions for the future, their visions about the new Syria and about how we have to establish our positions later on.

We are also discussing the issue of decision making and problem solving. We are going to tackle the issue of how to address the concept of team building. You know in Syria we do not have enough skills to work as a team. Then we will discuss the issue of communication skills, how to negotiate and how to present your ideas in the market”.

“The second workshop will be tackling a very crucial issue called branding, how women leaders become a good personal brand. Let us talk about great examples in our great history . We have many famous ladies who can be a good brand for Syria. We want to provide this technique to find the way of building a good personal branding and to invest this personal branding to corporate branding which is a very important topic”, Dr. Al-Nouri continued.

“The other important topic is the work reputation especially among women leaders when they work in masculine society they have to learn how to work and how to earn respect and create high reputation.

We don’t really find many female leaders in the different organizations in Syria although now the society is dominated by women. So we are talking about the issue of reputation and the ways of developing this brand and how to create a high value reputation for the person, for the woman leader and for the organization. This is why I am tackling this two workshops in Lattakia . We are going to move these workshops into different cities such as Homs, Tartous, Damascus, Aleppo, Al-Sweidaa and hopefully we can do it in Deir Ezzour , Idleb and in every city in our beloved country,”Mr. al-Nouri stressed.

“This very important topic will not be discussed from a political point of view but from a pure technical point of view. You ask me why I am concentrating on women leaders program  because there are many programs covering men leaders so we do not have problems with men leaders, our  problem is how to let the women leaders be accepted in  our society

How many women are leading and managing banks in Syria for example? How many women leaders are really leading a big organization or even a company in Syria? They are very few. We are talking about the society that women representing almost more than 55%. So I am defending the women side and trying to create a positive aspect for this view. In Syria this program is led by a woman. It is for our  pride to see a woman as a leader creating a high brand value for the company and creating a good reputation and to be a real fighter for Syria, for the success of the country, the victory of Syria and to stand behind the Syrian army in her own way”.

“We have to develop success stories among women because the future of our society is relaying  on the core of the society which is the female core. Hopefully we will find a success story when we do our business together,” Dr. al-Nouri concluded.

It is worth mentioning that the National Company for Management & Human Resource Development is very active in CSR activities and works rigorously in raising awareness and empowering all individuals in the society to realize their full potentials through its Syrian Management Forum SMF which holds periodical conferences and workshops in different Locations throughout Syria

Carrying the message of empowering Syrians, the love of our beloved great country Syria and our leader Dr. Bashar Al-Assad.
