Women in (Syrian Bees ) recycle fabrics to weave a tale of a homeland

Damascus (ST):  From the fragrance of the past and the beautiful memories, more than forty-five Syrian women have woven their products to open the exhibition (Syrian Bees) for recycling used fabrics this morning at the headquarters of the Homeland Document Foundation in Damascus.

The exhibition aims to support women’s products and seeks to revive the Syrian heritage through handicrafts, with skill and accuracy.

The Chair of the Board of Trustees of (Homeland Document) Dr. Buthaina Shaaban said in a statement to reporters after the exhibition’s opening: “This exhibition and the women’s projects in it touch the heart because it reminds us of our grandmothers and mothers who used every piece they had to make something beautiful, and to restore this heritage with Syrian hands and in a beautiful artistic way, a matter that deepens our roots in our identity and homeland.”

Shaaban referred to the ability of the Syrian woman and her determination to work despite all the difficulties that the years of war on Syria produced,  inviting people to visit the exhibition, in support of the participating women and encouragement to everyone who manufactures these products.
