Women, children injured in fire in Al-Hawl Camp in Hasakah

Several children and women were injured when a fire broke out in Al-Hawl Camp which is controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia.

Local sources in Al-Hawl town in Hasakah told a SANA reporter that last night, a fire erupted in the camp, burning 28 tents and causing injuries to a number of women and children who were trying to put off the fire and prevent its spread to other tents.

The sources didn’t clarify the causes of the fire within a section that is heavily guarded and controlled by SDF militia who doesn’t allow anyone to leave or enter the camp without its approval.

The US-backed SDF militia is holding thousands of displaced Syrian civilians in Al-Hawl camp within very difficult circumstances due to food, water and medicine shortages.
