Woman, Seven Children Martyred in US-Led Coalition Raids on Residential Areas in Raqqa

RAQQA, (ST)- The US-Led Coalition on Friday committed a new massacre that claimed the lives of 8 people, a woman and seven children, and wounded scores of civilians in the Syrian city of Raqqa.

Local sources told SANA that the warplanes of the coalition, led by Washington allegedly to fight ISIS terrorist group, raided several residential areas in Raqqa last night leading to the martyrdom of seven children and a woman from one family and the wounding of many other people and caused damage to citizens’ houses and properties.

According to the sources, the coalition carried out 44 raids on Raqqa in the past 48 hours, targeting residential building in several neighborhoods. Several people were martyred and wounded in the attacks.

The warplanes of the US-led international coalition have been perpetrating massacres against civilians in Syria on a daily basis and in a systematic way, particularly in the governorates of Raqqa, Hassaka, Aleppo, and Deir Ezzor, since the coalition’s establishment in 2014 aiming to support the terrorist groups in these areas.

In addition, the international coalition used the internationally-banned white phosphorus bombs on June 9 during its aggression against the western outskirts of Raqqa city and several surrounding areas leading to the martyrdom of 17 civilians.
