Wolfowicz: NATO’s military presence is doubled in Poland and the Baltic states

On May 12th, the Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Wolfowicz announced that the number of foreign military personnel on the territory of Poland and the Baltic states has doubled over the past two years.

“At the moment, more than 20,000 foreign military personnel equipped with modern offensive weapons are stationed in Poland and the Baltic states, and this number is double compared to 2020,”Wolfowicz said in an interview with the National Defense magazine.

Wolfowicz pointed out that the NATO air group currently has more than 90 warplanes, and there are about 40 of them in Poland and the Baltic states.

The Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council did not rule out the possession of anti-satellite weapons by the United States and supplying them to its space forces.

Wolfowicz said: “The transformation of space by Western countries into a battlefield and a field for conducting military operations is a matter of concern.”

“Although the United States recently announced its refusal to test anti-satellite weapons, this does not mean that Washington does not possess these weapons or that it has not entered service in its space forces,” Wolfowicz added.
