Within the initiative “Syria Month in Chile”, a prayer for peace and stability in Syria

Santiago, (ST) – Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Chile, Sergio Abdel, called during an expanded prayer held by the Syrian community in the Chilean capital, Santiago, in cooperation with the Syrian embassy and all expatriate ties, for peace and stability to prevail in Syria, a country that  has withstood the terrorist war.

The participants in the prayer also called for mercy for the souls of the innocent victims, that peace and  calm  prevail throughout Syria, and that God protect Syria and its  people.

This event comes within a major expatriate initiative entitled” Syria Month in Chile”. It expresses the loyalty of the Syrian community members to their motherland and their keenness to coordinate with the embassy to continue national activities and spread Syrian culture.

The prayer was attended by Arab ambassadors and a number of members of the diplomatic corps in Chile.
