Within the Culture Days of the Russian province of Nizhny Novgorod in Syria, a singing and dancing party held at Dar Al-Assad Theater in Lattakia

Latakia  (ST): As part of the Culture Days of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in Syria, the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and the Musical Comedy Theater presented a singing and dancing concert at the Dar Al-Assad Theater for Culture in Lattakia.

Over a period of two hours, twenty dancers and singers led the large audience who attended the concert, into a journey among the most famous Russian and international songs, classical operatic singing, ballet performances, and traditional Russian and contemporary dances, in a true introduction to the rich and diverse Russian culture and musical heritage full of life and beauty.

The director of the Nizhny Novgorod Theater, Sergey Mandrin, expressed in a statement to news reporter his happiness at visiting Syria, which represents the true cradle of human civilizations, and a beautiful picture of the convergence and mixing between the Islamic and Christian civilizations.

Mandrin pointed out that culture is what unites people of all races and affiliations, saying, “We came to Syria to speak the language of music, dance, and singing, the language of peace and friendship. For that, we attended a diverse program in which we present Russian classical music and singing, in addition to the most famous Russian and international songs.

The head of the Lattakia Provincial Council, Eng. Tayseer Habib, noted in a speech on behalf of the Lattakia Governor the importance of the visit of the Russian delegation, which comes to complete aspects of cooperation between the two provinces in the various economic, cultural and medical fields.

The activities of the Culture Days of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast will continue in Lattakia for three days, as they include an art exhibition, drawing and handicraft workshops.
