Hama (ST): The firefighting teams and mechanisms of the General Authority for the Management and Development of the Forest and Water Resources, with the support of the Syrian Arab Army, put out a fire that broke out in harvested wheat fields in the village of Al-Safafa 7 km north of Jurin in the far northwestern countryside of Hama, after shells were launched by terrorist organizations deployed in Idleb countryside.
The mayor of Al-Safafa told news reporter that “the fire that erupted as a result of the terrorist organizations’ shells deployed in the southwestern countryside of Idleb has been extinguished,” noting that “the fires have been brought under control and their hotspots are currently being monitored over the coming hours.
In turn, Fayez Muhammad, director of natural resources at the authority, explained in a similar statement that “the area of land affected by the fire is limited and was limited to sites of unharvested wheat fields and haystacks.”
