With the participation of the Minister of Religious Endowments, the International Forum of Religions kicks off in St. Petersburg

Moscow (ST):  With the participation of the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Sattar Al-Sayed, the International Forum of Religions was launched this morning in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, which discusses the most important religious, social and intellectual issues and the challenges of the Corona pandemic.

The two-day forum was inaugurated in the presence and under the patronage of the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Dmitrievich, and a large number of senior religious, scientific and political figures, including the representative of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Almaz Ravelich, the head of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad Matar Salem Al Ka’abi, and the Mufti of St. Petersburg and North Western Russia Sheikh Ravel Banshev, Head of the Coordination Center for Muslims of the North Caucasus, Mufti of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Sheikh Ismail Aliyevich, and Mufti of the City of London Abdurrahman Benyoussef.

Also participating in the forum are the Chairman of the Council for Dialogue and Cooperation among Civilizations in Indonesia, Professor Muhammad Sirajuddin Shamsuddin, the Mufti of the Russian Republic of Dagestan, Abdullah Karganov, the President of the Institute of History and Social Sciences Alexei Vasilievich, and the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic World, Department of Communities, Dr. Muhammad Bashary.
