With the participation of Syria, the opening of the first session of the International Congress of Media in the UAE
The activities of the first session of the World Media Congress, under the title “Shaping the Future of the Media Sector”, have been launched in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi today, under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the UAE Presidential Diwan, and with the participation of the Syrian Arab News Agency “SANA”, and a large number of figures of the media sector from different countries of the world.
In a speech he delivered on behalf of Sheikh Mansour, Mohammed Jalal Al-Raisi, Director of the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, stressed that “the convening of the World Media Congress represents a global platform for discussion, dialogue and learning in the various fields of media, and aims to find optimal mechanisms for knowledge formation, news exchange, media cooperation, ideas and finding solutions. “.
Al-Raisi pointed to the role of the media in shaping awareness, consolidating principles and establishing the values of cooperation and partnership among all countries of the world, for the good of humanity and the prosperity of societies.
During the Congress’s activities, the Emirates News Agency launched a digital “WAM News” system, which is equipped with the latest artificial intelligence and advanced technology, and relies on managing media work in innovative software ways that contribute to automating the news work system and achieving added value for partners from institutions, governmental and private agencies.
The Syrian Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, attended the opening of the first session of the Congress, which will be held over three days.
More than 1,200 media sector leaders, specialists and global influencers from different continents are participating in the Congress which attracts about 170 prominent media corporations and companies, representing 29 countries around the world.
The topics of the Congress include several topics, including digital communication, artificial intelligence, advanced technology and creativity in the media sector, in addition to discussing the fields of journalism, radio, television, the Internet, social media and global influencers.
