With the participation of Syria, the International Economic Summit (Russia and the Islamic World) opened

Moscow (ST): The International Economic Summit “Russia and the Islamic World” opened in Kazan, capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, with the participation of Syria.

 

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, said in his opening speech that the summit proved to be successful in establishing new communication relations and providing economic opportunities and investment possibilities, referring to the importance of this event as the main platform for economic interaction between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world.

Minnikhanov indicated that the summit will discuss several main topics, including project financing, banking services, environmental and social governance, corporate governance, conscious consumption, the information technology industry, entrepreneurship and investment, in addition to diplomatic issues.

For his part, Syria’s Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Riyad Haddad, said in a speech during a meeting of the ambassadors of foreign countries participating in the summit with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan that the West stands behind the deliberate distortion of the Islamic religion through its support for Takfiri terrorism, adding, “We in Syria have long realized the danger of American hegemony.” the world, and that the model presented by the West brought nothing but destruction and tragedies to the region.”

Ambassador Haddad pointed to the importance of completing the transition from a unipolar system to a multipolar system, whose features began with the first defeat of the Western project in Syria through the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army and the Russian Armed Forces over terrorist groups.
