With the participation of Syria, the start of the 2nd session of the United Nations Habitat Assembly in Nairobi

With the participation of Syria, the work of the second session of the United Nations Human Settlements Habitat Program “UN Habitat”  has begun today in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
Participants in the course, which will last until the 9th of June, will discuss governance and strategic planning to direct global policy towards implementing the new urban agenda, and will be contributing directly to the achievement of the sustainable development goal related to sustainable cities and communities. The UN activities are launched under the Slogan of; “Towards a sustainable urban future through a comprehensive and effective partnership in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development in times of global crises.”The Syrian delegation participating in the course is headed by the Assistant Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Moataz Qattan, with the membership of the Assistant Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Marie-Claire Al-Talli, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in the Tanzanian capital of Dar es Salaam, Akram Al-Hadi, and Eng. Mudhar Donia, Assistant Director General of the General Company for Engineering Studies.
