With the participation of Syria… the preparatory meetings for the 33rd Arab summit kick off tomorrow

With the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic, the preparatory meetings of the 33rd session of the Arab League Council at the summit level will begin tomorrow in the Bahraini capital Manama with the meeting of the senior officials of the Economic and Social Council.

The meetings will discuss a number of draft decisions that will be submitted to the economic and Social Council at the ministerial level. It will also discuss the importance of economic integration among Arab countries, the need to raise the level of cooperation between them, seek to develop sustainable economic models that contribute to raising levels of flexibility in addressing  the challenges and risks faced by Arab countries.

At the ministerial level, The Council will examine ways to promote joint Arab economic and social action to achieve social development in the Arab States, in the light of the changes in the global economy in general, which limit the possibility of achieving economic development and enhancing its sustainability.
