With the participation of Syria, OAPEC Council of Ministers discusses the development of its work to face emerging challenges

Kuwait (ST): With the participation of a Syrian delegation, the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) held its 110th meeting at the level of delegates in Kuwait, headed by Eng. Naseer Jabbar, representative of Iraq in the executive office of the Organization.

The participants discussed a range of issues related to its work and activity,  including the approval of the final accounts for the year 2022, the development of the Organization’s work and restructuring it with the development of its activities, and a review of the systems and laws that govern its work, in a manner consistent with the challenges and emerging developments in the field of energy.

They also discussed the preparation for the 12th Arab Energy Conference, to be held in Qatar on the 11th and 12th of next December, and the report of the Secretary-General on the activities of the General Secretariat represented in the preparation of economic and technical studies and follow-up reports on the global petroleum situation, environmental affairs and climate change, and the workflow of the data bank.
