With the participation of 65 teams, the official national final competitions of the Syrian Collegiate Programming Contest kick off at Al-Baath University

The 14th official national final competitions of the Syrian Collegiate Programming Contest has kicked off at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Al-Baath University, with the participation of 65 teams from public and private universities and the Syrian Virtual University.
The chairman of Al-Baath University, Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, stressed the importance of the competition in providing added values to Syrian universities and producing a distinguished scientific case in them, as the competition contributes to highlighting the level of young cadres, their excellence and their ability to compete in regional and international scientific competitions to raise the name of Syria.
Al-Khatib indicated that the results of the competition will result in the qualification of the Syrian teams that will participate in the regional programming competition for university colleges, as the national programming competition is held in the presence of a supervising scientific committee from the regional competition administration from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
For his part, Eng. Mohamed Fouad, Executive Director of the Competition in Arab Countries and Africa and Deputy Executive Director of the Global Competition, pointed out the importance of the level of the Syrian programming teams and the excellent organization of the competition, as Syria is considered one of the most important centers for the competition in the Arab world, and was able to occupy this position in a short time through competition, good preparation, the number of participating teams and their distinguished performance in previous seasons.
Fouad pointed out that the Syrian teams achieved the best Arab result in 2019, indicating the importance of the competition in opening horizons for Syrian students to participate in international forums and represent their country, as major international companies in Europe and East Asian countries are waiting for the results of the competition at various levels to attract creative and distinguished people to provide them with job and training opportunities.
