With the participation of 60 food institutions and companies, Aleppo Charity Food Market opens its activities

With the participation of 60 institutions and food companies, the activities of Aleppo Charity Food Market, which is being held by Aleppo Chamber of Industry and organized by “Thiqa” Exhibitions Company, began on Wednesday evening, on the grounds of the “Shahba Rose” complex in the square of the University of Aleppo, to celebrate the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. It included a wide variety of foodstuffs, rice, sugar, legumes, canned food, sweets, different kinds of juice, oil and ghee, laurel soap, and detergents.

Director of “Thiqa” company for exhibitions and conferences, Wassim Nashed, said in a statement to SANA  that the opening of the market with the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan aims to deliver consumer goods and food products at cost to the citizen, and contribute to limit price increases, and sell directly from the producer to the consumer. He noted that most of the companies in the exhibition and through 45 pavilions offer discounts and reduced prices throughout the exhibition period, which lasts 14 days, and continues for two periods before and after breakfast.

A member of Aleppo Chamber of Industry Council, Maher Rasool, underlined the importance of the Chamber’s role in holding the exhibition to reduce the profit between the merchant and the consumer through the process of direct selling of the product to the citizen at cost price. There are some companies working to sell at less than the real price of the product in response to the Chamber of Industry to reduce the burdens of living on citizens during the holy month for the diversity of its products.

A member of the executive office concerned with Aleppo Governorate Council, Muhammad Fayyad, said: The diversity of food products and the reduced prices for most of the exhibiting companies, ranging between 15 and 20 percent, contribute to reducing the burden on citizens.
