With the participation of 55 local and foreign companies, the Sila International Shoe and Leather Exhibition Kicks off

Damascus (ST): The activities of the 15th Sila International Shoe and Leather Exhibition kicked off, the spring-summer 2023 challenge session, which is being held by the Arab Union for Leather Industries, and organized by the Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, on the grounds of the New Exhibition City in Damascus.

The exhibition includes participants from 55 local companies from the public and private sectors and from 10 Arab and foreign countries distributed in a number of pavilions, in which they display their products and services for the spring and summer seasons of 2023, represented by the latest models of shoes, industries and leather products such as bags and accessories, belts, cutting machines, design and sewing.

In a statement to the media, the Minister of Industry, Ziyad Sabbagh, praised the insistence shown by the Syrian industrial sector, especially the leather industry with all its components, as well as the insistence of the Arab Federation of Leather Industries to hold the Sila exhibition, which has become an annual tradition in every season, as the majority of local participants are from the governorates that have been subjected to the earthquake disasters such as Aleppo and Hama – this in itself is a challenge for the advancement of the leather industries sector, which is considered one of the ancient industries in Syria.
