With the participation of 48 researchers, the activities of the 36th Annual Conference on the History of Science among the Arabs started at the University of Aleppo
With the participation of 48 Syrian and Arab researchers, the activities of the thirty-sixth annual conference on the history of science among the Arabs and the celebration of the doctor Abi al-Qasim al-Zahrawi began today at the Institute of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Aleppo.
Over the course of three days, the conference will discuss several research papers dealing with various axes, including the issue of interpretation in the history of science, the history of the ancient city and its markets in Aleppo, Arabic names for stars and elements of sustainable design in archaeological buildings, and the future of Arab scientific heritage in Syria.
The President of the University of Aleppo, Dr. Maher Karman, stated that the importance of the role played by the Institute of Arab Scientific Heritage in presenting scientific research that sheds light on the most important contributions made by scientists to Arab civilization in various sciences, pointing to the necessity of introducing Arab scientific achievements and how they contributed to the development witnessed during the Renaissance era in Europe.
