With Syria’s participation, the World Youth Festival will be held in Sirius next March

Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Anton Pashkov said that The World Youth Festival will be held from March 1-7, 2024 on the federal territory of Sirius with the participation of Syria.

The event is held in accordance with the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin with .

 The Festival will be attended by 20,000 young leaders in the fields of education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteerism and charity, sports, business, media, etc., including 10,000 foreign representatives.

 For the first time in the history of the festival movement, teenagers from 14 to 17 years old will have the opportunity to participate in the event — 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad.

He pointed out that the more than 1000 journalists from 36 countries will work in the festival and an international press center will operate in Sirius university building. It consists of a hall equipped with suitable divisions and containing all the requirements of journalists to work.

Pashkov believed that in the context of the information war that Western media is currently waging against Russia, it has become important for the event organizers to organize wide-ranging, objective and correct coverage of the festival, calling for listening to the opinion of Russia, the Russian youth generation and foreign participants in the festival from 180 countries in the world.

The regional program of the World Youth Festival is scheduled to be implemented from March 10 to 17, during which participants will visit 30 Russian cities to learn about the life of citizens of the Russian Federation.
