With  Participation of Syria, The Economic and Social Council Meeting is held at Ministerial level of the 33rd Arab Summit

Manama-(ST)-  With the participation of Syria, a meeting of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level will be held today  Sunday in the Bahraini capital, Manama. The Syrian delegation is headed by the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil.

Yesterday, the preparatory meetings of the League of Arab States Council at the summit level began in its thirty-third regular session and discussed a number of draft resolutions, in addition to discussing the importance of economic integration between Arab countries and confronting the challenges they face.

The draft agenda included 12 items in addition to the report of the Secretary-General of the Arab League on joint Arab social and development action, and the emergency response plan to deal with the Israeli aggression against the State of Palestine.

The draft agenda also included an item on “A New Social Contract: Social Dialogue is Our Path to a Safe, Just, and Sustainable Future.”

It is noteworthy that the Arab League Council at the summit level will meet next Thursday.
