With national experiences, Installing the second wind turbine to generate electric power in Homs Countryside

Homs (ST): The “WDRVM” company for alternative energy and heavy industries in the industrial city of Hasya, in Homs countryside, announced the completion of the installation of the second wind turbine to generate electric power in Syria with Syrian hands and expertise.

The company indicated in a press release that the entire manufacturing and installation was carried out in the “WDRVM” company for alternative energies and heavy industries, and the turbine was installed in Al-Dahabiya area in the western countryside of Homs city on the Homs-Tartous highway.

 

The company explained that the turbine will feed the general electricity network in Syria with a capacity of 2.5 megawatts, so that the full capacity with the first wind turbine will be 5 megawatts.

The company, despite the current circumstances, the unilateral coercive measures and the economic siege imposed on the Syrian people, was able to complete the manufacture of a turbine with all its components, including the tower, blades, and control devices, with high accuracy comparable to international standards, and installed it in the lands of the village of Al-Sindiyaneh in Al-Dahabiya area west of Homs on the Homs-Tartous highway at the end of 2019.
