With his victory over the Serbian, our boxer Ghosoun secures Syria’s first medal in the Mediterranean tournament

Our national boxing team player, Ahmed Ghosoun, won an important victory over his Serbian rival Mimic, 2-1, in the 75 weight competitions at the Mediterranean Games currently being held in Oran, Algeria.

Ghosoun’s victory was decisive and worthy in front of his opponent, as he finished the first and second rounds in his favor, while the third went to the benefit of his opponent to qualify for the semi-finals where he will face French boxer Fendro.

With this victory, Ghosoun secured the first Syrian medals in this session. Ghosoun is the gold medalist of his weight in the previous edition of the Mediterranean tournament in Spain.
