With an official and popular presence, Syrians bid farewell to the martyrs of the terrorist attack at the military college’s officer cadets 

Governorates (ST): With an official and popular presence, the funeral ceremony for the martyrs of the terrorist attack was held today at the graduation ceremony for the military college’s officer cadets.

From in front of the military hospital in Homs, a number of martyrs of the terrorist attack were carried to their cities and villages in the governorates. During his participation in the funeral ceremony, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense, General Ali Abbas, said in a statement to reporters: “The price of dignity and pride for the homeland is great. For the martyrs who were murdered yesterday, the value of their blood is very high.”

In his speech to the people, the Minister of Defense assured the people that the blood of their children will not be spent in vain, but rather that these terrorist organizations will be responded to with full force and determination wherever they are found.He wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and patience for the families of the martyrs.

In turn, Hazar Al-Daqs, a member of the People’s Assembly, said in a statement: The casualty is serious and great. The heinous crime that the terrorists carried out against the students graduating from the Military College on their happy day is a brutal criminal act, and we call on the international community to stop terrorism and its supporters.

A number of families also expressed their deep sadness over the loss of their loved ones, especially on their day of joy and pride, saying: The wound is deep and painful and words cannot express the magnitude of the tragedy, but today we are mourning them as martyrs of the land and the homeland.

From the Martyr Zahi Azraq Military Hospital in Lattakia, the bodies of a number of martyrs were transported to their final resting place . Official and popular figures, a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the army and armed forces, and the families of the martyrs participated in the funeral ceremony.

The funeral participants stressed that this terrorist attack is a crime that could not have been carried out without the support of conspiring international forces that have worked since the beginning of the terrorist war on Syria to support and arm terrorist organizations with all types of weapons, equipment and advanced technology with the aim of undermining the strength of Syria and the unity of its land and people.

In a statement to reporters, engineer Haitham Ismail, secretary of the branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Lattakia, said: The attack that occurred yesterday and targeted students at the Military College and civilians who were celebrating their children’s graduation will not undermine the resolve of this steadfast and patient people who possess civilization, patience and determination that is rarely matched in this world.

From the Hama National Hospital, in an official and popular presence, the funeral of a number of martyrs who died yesterday as a result of the terrorist attack on the Military College in Homs was held.
