With a capacity of 100 beds, a field hospital opened in Homs with the support of the Emirates Red Crescent

Homs (ST): The Ministry of Health inaugurated the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed field hospital in Al-Muhajireen neighborhood in Homs, with a capacity of 100 beds, including 20 care beds.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghubash, indicated in a statement to reporters that the opening and equipping of the hospital came with the support of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, within the framework of the humanitarian response to the Covid 19 pandemic and its effects, and to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries, the leadership and people.
Minister Al-Ghubash indicated that the hospital comes to support health work in Homs governorate, as it provides various services, in addition to being an emergency  hospital in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, pointing out that the hospital includes intensive care departments, in-patient beds, and a laboratory that provides all kinds of analyses and examinations, in addition to x-rays, to ensure the provision of appropriate medical service to patients.
The Chargé d’Affaires of the United Arab Emirates Abdul Hakim Al-Nuaimi, the Governor of Homs, Engineer Namir Makhlouf, a number of members of the People’s Assembly, the Director of Health, the President of the Homs City Council, and a number of central directors in the Ministry of Health participated in the opening ceremony.
