Several Arab countries have condemned the barbaric bombing and massacres committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip in general, and the city of Rafah in particular.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces’ continued massacres and targeting of defenseless civilians in Gaza Strip, the latest of which was the tents of displaced Palestinians near the warehouses of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), northwest of Rafah.
According to what was published by the Saudi Press Agency SPA, the Ministry affirmed its categorical rejection of the continued blatant violations by the Israeli occupation forces of all international and humanitarian resolutions, laws and norms, calling on “the international community to intervene immediately to stop the massacres it is committing, and to stop the aggravation of the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe that the brotherly Palestinian people are going through.”
Meanwhile, Egypt also condemned the deliberate shelling carried out by Israeli forces against displaced persons’ tents in the Palestinian city of Rafah, in a new and blatant violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law and the provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 regarding the protection of civilian persons in time of war.”
Egypt considered in a statement that “this tragic event represents an escalation in the continued targeting of defenseless civilians, and the systematic policy aimed at expanding the policy of killing and destruction in the Gaza Strip to make it unlivable,” .
The statement called on the Israeli occupation to comply with its legal obligations as an occupying power, and to implement the measures issued by the Court of Justice and International Security Council regarding the immediate cessation of military operations and any other measures in the Palestinian city of Rafah.
In turn, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation and strong denunciation of the continued Israeli aggression in Gaza, including its recent targeting of a camp for displaced people in Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry stressed in a statement that “these heinous acts that the occupying entity continues to commit require deterrent international intervention, including imposing sanctions on Israel by the international community due to its clear violation of international law and international humanitarian law and of dignity, human soul and human values.
Last night, the Israeli enemy aircraft bombed an area crowded with displaced people in Rafah in the far south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of civilians.
