WHO warns against the accelerated spread of Corona pandemic

Capitals (ST): The World Health Organization (WHO) warned against the rapid spread of the Corona virus pandemic as the number of infections have reached 928000 all over the world.

France Press Agency quoted WHO President  Tedros Adhanom  as saying in a press conference via internet that the number of deaths increased twice in comparison with the number last week, noting that the number of infections will reach one million in the forthcoming few days and the deaths to 50000. He  stressed the necessity of unity in combatting the fatal virus.

 

Meanwhile, the US university of Jones Hopkins said that the number of infections in the pandemic rose to 211000 and the deaths to 4714.

In Italy, the Civil Protection Agency announced that the number of deaths resulting from Corona virus increased by 727 cases raising the number of deaths to 13155 and the infections to 105740.

In Madrid, officials in the health sector said that Spain registered a record number of deaths as 864 citizens died yesterday raising the deaths to 9053 and the infections to 102136.

In turn, the British government said that the number of deaths jumped to 2352 as 563 citizens died yesterday, as the number of infections rose to 29474.

In Moscow, the Russian Space Agency said that four of its employees were infected with COVID 19.

In Baghdad, the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment announced that 34 citizens were infected bringing the number of Corona virus infections to 728 and the deaths to 52.

The Algerian Ministry of Health announced that the number of infections rose to 846 and the number of deaths to 58 as 14 citizens died during the last 24 hours.

The Egyptian Health Ministry said that 69 new infection cases were registered bringing the total number of infections to 779 and the deaths to 52. In Morocco, the Ministry of health said that the number of infections reached to 642 and the deaths to 37.

In the meantime, the Serbian Government said that the Minister of State for Environment Affairs died as the number of infections reached 1060 and the deaths to 28.

The Dutch National Health Institute announced that the corona pandemic deaths reached to 1173 and the total infections to 131614.
