WHO Stresses Continued Support to Health Ministry for Keeping Syria Polio-Free

DAMASCUS – The Resident Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) Elizabeth Hoff said that the Health Ministry in Syria accomplished a great job for making the country free of polio as pursuit is continuous for reaching to children who have not been vaccinated before, SANA reported.

In a statement coincided with launching the anti-polio vaccination campaign, Hoff said that keeping Syria free of polio requires reaching each and every child in the country, stressing the continued technical and material support of WHO to vaccination teams and boosting the ordinary vaccination program.
