White Helmets provide false information on Syria, Says Russian organization

Paris, (ST) – Director of the Fund for Research of Problems of Democracy Maxim Grigoryev said that the activities of the so-called White Helmets group, which has been proved to have close connection to terrorist organizations in Syria, are aimed at disseminating false information about the situation in Syria.

“The White Helmets, which portray themselves as an NGO, have systematically published much false information about Syria, but a thorough investigation allows us to completely refute this information about Syrian government’s chemical attacks accusations.”Grigoriev was quoted as saying by the Tass news agency in Paris.

 The White Helmets group was founded in Turkey in 2013 with British and American funding. Many documents were uncovered by the Syrian Arab Army in the areas that were freed from terrorism.

The Russian foundation’s survey reveals that on certain occasions, White Helmets used bodies of hostages executed by terrorists on their territories, to make photo and video records of a staged chemical attack. “Some of them, including women and children, were deliberately executed for the purpose,” he said.

Grigoriev said: “We will not find volunteers in the ranks of this group as its workers are paid monthly fees for their services,” referring to the links between James Lee Missouri co-founder of this group and British intelligence.

The State Department announced last year that US President Donald Trump has allocated about 6.6 million dollars to finance the White Helmets associated with terrorist organizations.

Grigoriev said that in order to prepare for the survey conducted by the Fund, meetings were held with a large number of residents in areas where elements of the terrorist group (White Helmets) were deployed.

The head of the General Operations Department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Sergei Rodskoy, revealed last July that the White Helmets terrorist organization is misleading media by accusing Russia and the Syrian government of targeting civilians in Idlib.
