Wheelchairs march from Aleppo to Hama marking October Victory

Aleppo (ST): Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and in commemoration of the 47thanniversary of the October Liberation War, a march on wheelchairs by injured Syrian Arab army members was organized  from Aleppo to Hama.

Upon their arrival, the participants were welcomed by Hama Governor Dr. Mohammad al-Hazzouri and Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Branch engineer Ashraf Bashouri.

One of the participants, Mohammad Abu al-Lail, said that the event  represents a message from the Syrian Arab army members who were wounded in the battle against terrorism to tell the whole world that despite their injuries, they did not lose the determination to confront the enemies of the homeland. Rather, they are more determined to press ahead with the battle of defending Syria and participating in its reconstruction.

Another participant, Omar Abdullah said that the event represents a gesture of loyalty to the martyrs and support for the wounded personnel who offered the most precious sacrifices to defend the dignity of their homeland.

 

Kenanah Alloush, Chairperson of the Board of the Joweil Media Organization, the sponsor of the event, said that ten participants took part in the  march which was organized under the title of “Syria, My Identity”. She added that the march lasted for ten hours from al-Hayat Roundabout in Aleppo to The Orontes Square in Hama.
