What the Syrian people wanted to say to the people of Palestine through their solidarity stand today in the capital Damascus

Today the labor unions in the governorates organized a solidarity stand in the capital Damascus in front of the Dama Rose hotel in support of the Palestinian resistance and to condemn the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the people of the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of Syrians gathered to show and affirm their support and sympathy for their Palestinian brothers.Syriatimes met with some of them:

Comrade Saeed Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Oil Division and an integral member of the labor union office said : ” Today, we are here in a stand of solidarity with our people in occupied Palestine.Of course first we salute the Palestinian people who raised the banner of struggle against oppression and injustice and we say to them that we as Syrian people, are all with you under the banner of President of the Syrian Arab Republic Dr. Bashar al-Assad, We are two peoples, but with one heart, a heart that beats with Arabism, a heart that beats with freedom , that’s why I salute every honorable citizen across the Arab world, whether in Palestine or not, and today we embody through this solidarity stance what we are experiencing during this war of aggressive attacks and armed gangs.Today we stand with ourselves to raise the banner of truth and to say to every citizen that we stand with truth and justice.Finally I salute all the martyrs of the Arab world and the martyrs of the Palestinian and Syrian people.”

Young  Mohamed Namoura holding a Palestinian flag told us that he is participating in today’s solidarity stand to show his support and solidarity with the people of Palestine especially in Gaza city , telling them that we here in are Syria praying for their victory and protection and to finally end the occupation on their lands.

Mohamed, an employee at the Seismic center, told SyriaTimes that he is here  to support and encourage the Palestinian people for their resistance – to end and get rid of all types of occupation on their lands and that the Syrian people are always in support of Palestine and the Palestinians.

Hussam Al-Afghani a worker in the city of Damascus said : ” Today we stand in solidarity with our brothers in beloved Palestine and with the revolutionary resistance in Gaza who are defending their rights and dignity .Rights that have been stolen for more than 80 years.Therefore, the time has come,  for this nation to rise up and show the Israeli enemy and the American state that Arabs and Muslims in all parts of the earth will never be silent about their rights.We also salute  the free journalists all over the world who convey the true picture of the usurping entity and the United States of America from the heart of Syria, the citadel of steadfastness and confrontation under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, who supports all Arab resistance positions.”

Finally ,Batoul Mayhoub an employee at the water resources Ministry told us: ” We definitely came here to support our people in Palestine, as we are one country indeed.We want to tell them that we stand and support them until the last breath as they fight for their justice, for their usurped land, and we want to congratulate the Palestinian resistance on their revolution, while we pray for the protection and deliverance of the Palestinians.
