What is the number of establishments benefiting from Legislative Decree No. 3 regarding support for those affected by the earthquake?

The Director General of the General Organization for Social Insurance, Yahya Ahmed, revealed that the number of establishments in the private sector benefiting from the implementation of Legislative Decree No. 3 of 2023, which provides for granting special exemptions to those affected by the earthquake, amounts to 58,691 establishments in the affected governorates.

Ahmed explained the sums due as interest and delay fines on these establishments amounted to more than 20 billion and 212 million Syrian pounds.

He said  that the decree includes folding interest and delayed fines incurred by every business owner in the private sector whose name is mentioned in the nominal tables issued by a decision.

He added: The decree also includes every worker in the private sector whose name was mentioned in the aforementioned tables and a subscriber with the institution’s branches who is late in paying the financial obligations arising from the decisions to join the service, return compensation and raise the percentage.

Regarding the procedures followed to implement the decree, he indicated that the branches of the General Organization for Social Insurance in the affected governorates will take the necessary measures to fold the amounts, without the need for a request or review by the affected people whose names are mentioned in the nominal tables issued by a decision of the competent governor.
