West’s indifference to the crimes of the occupation is the reason of current escalation, says Abdullahian

Tehran, ST) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed that the systematic crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people are the reason that the region has reached the current escalation.

IRNA quoted Abdullahian as saying during a phone call with European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell: The West’s indifference towards the crimes committed against the Palestinians and the policy of double standards it follows towards regional issues led to the escalation that we are currently witnessing. He considered that the reaction of the  Palestinian resistance is a natural and legitimate matter in the face of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and sanctities.

Abdullahian stressed the need to intensify the efforts of the international community to support the rights of the Palestinians and stop the continuing Israeli attacks.

Yesterday, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Palestinian people have proven in practice their ability to defend themselves and their rights. He considered that sending an American aircraft carrier to the region is an indication of America’s direct participation in the war and in the crimes of the Israeli enemy against the Palestinians.
