Western coercive measures against Syria are the cause of the suffering of its people, says Czech human rights activist

Prague, (ST) – The Czech human rights activist in the Middle East, Peter Markfart, stressed that the Western unilateral coercive measures against Syria are the main reason for the suffering of the Syrian people and the difficult economic conditions they are going through.

“Shame on the cowards who were not able, militarily and politically, to subdue Syria and its government, so they resorted to targeting its economy and its people with sanctions and coercive measures,” Markfart said in a comment posted on his account on Facebook.
