West countries have offered the Syrians nothing but conspiracies, says Babakov

Moscow, (ST) – Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma Alexander Babakov confirmed that the West countries did not back down for a moment from tightening the siege against the Syrian people, at a time when the Syrians are suffering from the consequences of the earthquake disaster that struck the country last month.

Babakov said in an interview with SANA on Wednesday: “The allegations of providing aid to Syria from Western countries led by the United States are a fantasy.”  He pointed out that the last thing the collective West thinks about is providing aid to the Syrians, as it only provided them with intrigues.

Babakov said that the West’s positions are not only biased; rather, they are destructive and do not respect the opinions and aspirations of countries and peoples.

Babakov stressed that the refusal of the United States and its allies to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake disaster in Syria means that they are ready to provide this aid for supporting terrorism, and to adopt provocations against Syria and other countries that oppose Western policies.

The Russian writer and political analyst Nikolai Starikov indicated in a similar interview that the Syrian government is moving towards restoring its control over its entire territory, and establishing peace in it thanks to the steadfastness of thr Syrian army and people and the help of Russia.

With regard to the so-called donors’ conference in Brussels, Starikov said that the real donors who seek to help do not impose any political conditions and do not exert any pressure on the side receiving the aid. Those who met in Brussels have been transformed from being donors to being extortionists and saboteurs.

Starikov stressed that the Western policy is descending into the abyss with increasing speed, and this is not surprising, as it showed its bias and practiced double standards in providing assistance to Syria and Turkey and in alleviating the repercussions of the earthquake, because Turkey is the West’s ally in NATO, while Syria has withstood in the face of western hegemony.

Starikov added that the Americans are the ones who created instability in the Middle East, and they are currently working to provoke a new wave of instability in the region and the European continent. He pointed out that the United States is working to undermine international organizations, and is behaving arrogantly and provocationaly towards the major global players, including Russia and China, and this is what speeds up the formation of the multipolar world that peoples seek .
