West continues supporting “White Helmets” through fabricating lies against Syria

Moscow, (ST) – Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence Sergey Naryshkin confirmed that Western intelligence Services continue supporting the so-called “White Helmets” terrorist organization through circulating lies, and waging media war against Syria.

Naryshkin said in a statement to Sputnik today: “Two years ago,  there have been information in the world holding the Syrian Arab Army responsible for the use of chemical weapons in the city of Douma, and that was a pre-planned misleading campaign by this organization backed by Western states.”

  “After a period of time, we were able, in cooperation with the Syrian journalists, through their investigative reports to prove that these allegations and hypotheses regarding the use of chemical weapons are a complete fabrication by the (White Helmets) which is backed by the West,” Naryshkin added.

He explained that this organization is funded by British intelligence and it performs its tasks through spreading fabricated information and allegations against Syria and its army.

Many documents found by the Syrian Arab Army in the areas liberated from terrorism proved the link of this organization (“White Helmets”) to terrorist organizations and their support for preparing and encouraging the use of chemical weapons against civilians, as happened in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus, and in areas in Aleppo to accuse the Syrian Arab Army
