West claims to fight terrorism while it kills civilians in Syria, says Czech researcher
Prague, (ST) – The Head of the Middle East Center at the Czech Metropolitan University, Brzeslav Toricic, affirmed that the West claims to fight terrorism, while it kills civilians in Syria, which constitutes a war crime.
In an interview with Czech Radio, Toricek said that,“according to various indicators, war crimes have occurred in Syria by Western countries, led by the United States, in the name of combating terrorism and the tragic aspect of is that world public opinion did not know this information until now.”
He pointed out that “many in Western countries are surprised by where the hatred in the Middle East against the West stems from, because they basically do not know the truth about the crimes that are going on there under pretexts such as combating terrorism and others”.
Toricic pointed out that, “Western officials who commit war crimes in Syria and Iraq will not be punished which is shameful.”
