Weapons, left behind by terrorists, found in Daraa western countryside

DARAA, (ST)- Authorities on Saturday found a huge amount of weapons and ammunition, left behind by terrorists, in Daraa western countryside.

A source told SANA reporter that during mopping up operations in areas liberated from terrorism, the authorities in cooperation with locals, managed to find a huge amount of weapons and ammunition, some of which are made by western countries.

The seized weapons included tens of automatic rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, RPGs, anti-tank rockets, hand grenades, PKC machine guns, ammunition, explosive devices as well as artillery and mortar shells.    

 Last Tuesday, during their mopping up operations in the areas liberated from terrorism in the countryside of Daraa and Sweida, the authorities found huge quantities of weapons and ammunition including Israeli and US- made rockets. These weapons were left by the terrorists upon their defeat in Syria’s southern area.
