Weapons-laden cars for terrorists seized in Sweida countryside

SWEIDA, (ST)_Popular defense groups seized a car loaded with weapons and munitions in the northeastern countryside of Sweida, the official news agency (SANA) reported Tuesday.

The agency quoted a source in Sweida province as saying that popular defense groups seized in an ambush today at dawn in an area located east of Tarba town in the northeastern countryside of Sweida a GMC car loaded with weapons and munitions for terrorist organizations.

The source indicated that the driver of the car was arrested.

Another weapons-laden car was seized by the competent authorities at Salkhad-Mnezra junction south of Sweida city.

The seized weapons contained mortars, RPGs, bombs and materials being used in making bombs. 

On August 10, popular defense groups seized  a car loaded with rockets, RPGs, mortars, mines and light weapons in the southern countryside of Sweida.
