Weapons and ammo left behind by terrorists found in Daraa eastern countryside

Daraa, (ST) – SANA reporter in Daraa said that, special authorities on Sunday found weapons and ammunition left behind by terrorist groups in Daraa eastern countryside.

A special source said to SANA correspondence that , “during the completion of a operation of combing a number of farms liberated from terrorism located on the administrative borders between the governorates of Daraa and Sweida in the eastern countryside of Daraa, the special authorities discovered quantities of weapons, ammunition and missiles left behind by terroristorganizations.

The source indicated that among the seizures were “military rifles, medium machine guns, RPG launchers and various quantities of ammunition,” pointing out that “combing operations will continue until the rest of terrorists are found and removed to preserve the lives and security of citizens in the governorate.”

The competent authorities, in cooperation with the army units, continue to comb and secure the areas liberated from terrorism to ensure the safe return of the people and a normal life for civilians who work on their land and practice their normal lives in their areas after clearing them of terrorists.

On the twenty-third of last May, the competent authorities discovered large quantities of weapons and ammunition left behind by terrorist groups, some of them western-made in the western countryside of Daraa.
