Bratislava, (ST)- Syrian students studying in Slovakia renewed their support for their homeland in the face of the terrorist war and the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in Slovakia on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the union, which is the holiday of the Syrian Arab student, the students said: “Today we remember the struggle of the first student, the founding leader, Hafez Al-Assad, who launched this ancient union to be a platform and a bridge for our free students to defend their causes and produce a generation of pioneers and “student leaders” who provide the country and its institutions with their experiences after their graduation.
Dr. Ali Asaad, Head of the Slovakia branch said on this occasion: The Syrian student on this day carried many messages to the world that go beyond science, knowledge, and ambition. His message today is a challenge and insistence on defending the homeland and confronting terrorism that aims to destroy the role of science, including schools, universities, and institutes, and target its cadres. In addition to confronting the media war and unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States and the West on Syria.
