Cairo, (ST) – The National Union of Syrian Students, Egypt Branch, renewed its support for the resistant Syrian people in their war against terrorism. They pledged to be loyal to the martyrs and to support their valiant army.
A statement issued by the Union on the occasion of the anniversary of the convening of the first student conference on the thirtieth of March 1950 said that this conference is the solid foundation of the Syrian student movement and the struggle of its successive generations. “After years of the unjust terrorist war against Syria, which targeted all its sectors, especially the scientific ones, the Syrian students are defending the dignity, unity and independence of their country alongside the heroes of our army”, the statement added.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Junaid, the Head of the National Union of Syrian Students, Egypt Branch, said that, the importance of this year’s celebration comes from the fact that it bears the meanings of strength, courage and aspiration towards a bright tomorrow, as the Syrian student on his feast day carried many messages to the world that go beyond science, knowledge and ambition.
Dr. Al-Junaid added that, the message of this Syrian student today is a challenge and determination to confront terrorism Takfiri, which aims to destroy the role of science, including schools, universities and institutes, and target their cadres and pioneers.
Abdul Rahman Abbas, a member of the Union Branch Command, said that, on the seventy-second anniversary of the Syrian Arab Student’s Day, we renew our loyalty to the homeland and the Syrian Arab army. “We stress the role of the Syrian students in following up the march of victory over the Takfiri terrorism that our heroic army fought through their adherence to science and knowledge and serving their homeland through their role Next in reconstruction and development,” he added.
In turn, Tariq Al-Masri, a member of the leadership of the union branch, stressed that the National Union of Syrian Students was and still is an incubator of the hopes of young people in Syria.
