We are more determined to continue the struggle until the liberation of our land, say the people of the occupied Golan

Occupied Golan, (ST) – On the 48th anniversary of the raising of the national Syrian flag on the soil of liberated Quneitra, our people in the occupied Golan affirm their steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation. They also affirm their adherence to their Syrian Arab identity and their firm belonging to the homeland, and their insistence on continuing the struggle until the liberation of every atom of its soil.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the dean of the liberated Syrian prisoners, Sidqi Al-Maqt, confirmed that the liberation of Quneitra from the Israeli occupation, and when

the founding leader Hafez Al-Assad raised the flag of the homeland in the sky of the liberated city on the 26th of June 1974, was the culmination of the heroism of our army and the sacrifices of our martyrs in the battles of the October liberation war.

Al-Maqt pointed out that this anniversary is a confirmation of the will of liberation that Golan is Arab and Syrian and will remain.

Al-Maqt indicated that all the arbitrary practices of the occupation against the people of the Golan, such as closing the Quneitra crossing and preventing them from communicating with the homeland, in addition to seizing thousands of dunums of their lands to set up wind turbines on them, and its attempts to displace the people of the Golan will fail thanks to their steadfastness.

For his part, Sheikh Jad al-Karim Nasser stressed that the people of the occupied Syrian Golan will remain on the covenant, clinging to their Arab-Syrian identity and belonging to the homeland, no matter how long the occupation lasts.
