Ways to strengthen cooperation between ACSAD and the Slovak University

Damascus, ST- The Director General of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Lands (ACSAD), Dr. RafikSaleh, discussed with a delegation from the University of Economic Sciences of the Slovak Republic headed by Prof. FerdinaldDano ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides and the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding in fields  of common interest.

During the meeting held at ACSAD headquarters in Damascus, Saleh reviewed the organization’s projects and applied scientific researches carried out in the Arab countries and their efforts in the fields of developing and spreading the cultivation of high-productivity varieties and their resistance to environmental conditions and diseases and in increasing the productivity of livestock and the construction of water dams.

In turn, Dano expressed his admiration for the advanced scientific level applied by ACSAD in its works in various fields.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and ACSAD signed a cooperation agreement in mid-October for the implementation of the “Study of Sheep Milk ” project in Homs, Tartous and Lattakia governorates, it is funded by IFAD to improve the quality of milk products.
