
DAMASCUS, (ST) -Ways of exiting the crisis in Syria and the necessity of reactivating dialogue in addition to the internal and regional situation were the main topics discussed by the dialogue forum held on Tuesday under the title Public Freedoms and Deepening Dialogue under the Homeland’s Umbrella.
Chairman of the National Reconciliation Committee at the People’s Assembly Omar Oussi and a number of PA members took part in the forum.
Oussi, who stressed the need to reactivate a political solution to the crisis in Syria, said the PA National Reconciliation Committee has been active on ground in all Syrian governorates to prepare for comprehensive national dialogue and contribute to releasing tens of kidnapped citizens.
Oussi, who referred to the international indications of a sort of settlement in Syria, said dialogue is to be supervised by the government with a support from the People’s Assembly, adding that all parties should be engaged in this dialogue without exclusions.
“Adopting dialogue is the safe path to exit the crisis in Syria,” Oussi said, stressing the importance of the post-crisis era in reconstructing the unified Syrian society and proceeding towards more democracy, justice and security in the country.
Other speakers during the forum pointed out that some rural areas have incubated armed groups and helped them commit their crimes against the Syrian state and citizens. They stressed the necessity of understanding the real meaning of freedom and its obligations.
They affirmed the steadfastness of the Syrian state, army and people in the confrontation of the vicious conspiracy against Syria.
